The mullet is a well known hairstyle. Although it is not known for being elegant and stylish, it is known nonetheless in pop culture. Billy Ray Cyrus, a country music singer, is synonymous with this hairstyle and many refer to it as the Billy Ray Cyrus mullet. Here is some more information about the man beyond the mullet.

Before Mr. Cyrus came onto the scene, the mullet was around. It is basically a hairstyle where the front in cut short and the back in left long. It is often thought of as an outdated and humorous looking type of hairstyle. It was very popular in the 1960s and 1970s. The popularity of it began to fade in the early 1980s.

Before his mullet made him notorious, he was a simply country music singer. He was born in August of 1961. He is from Flatwoods Kentucky and his father was a politician and his grandfather was a preacher.

Even though his relatives were not professionally involved in music or entertainment when he was growing up, he was surrounded by gospel and bluegrass music. His father played guitar as a hobby. His father even tried to teach him how to play but was unsuccessful.

He attended Georgetown College and received a baseball scholarship but later decided to pursue music. In the 1980s and the 1990s, he performed his music in bars and eventually landed a record deal from Mercury Nashville Records. It was when the music video for his hit song Achy Breaky Heart was released that his hair stole the show. He also does acting work in television shows.

That was some information on the Billy Ray Cyrus mullet and the man who made it so popular. Although he has gotten rid of that hairstyle long ago, he will always be known for it. It is tied to his image.
